SCANCOAT SIX SEM SPUTTER COATER
The Scancoat Six is a compact and inexpensive bench-top sputter coater designed to prepare specimens for conventional scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The system is easy-to-use and will sputter coat a wide variety of specimens with a high quality, conductive metal film. The films are deposited uniformly, even over re entrant surfaces.
An optional carbon fiber accessory allows specimens to be carbon coated before X-ray microanalysis. |

PD3 PLATE DEGASSER
• Large capacity stainless steel chamber

The BOC Edwards PD3 plate degasser is suitable for degassing photographic films and plates, prior to their use in electron microscopes. This gives the advantages of reduced pump down times and less contamination to the microscope column.

The stainless steel chamber has internal dimensions designed to accommodate the largest |
photographic films and plates normally used in today's electron microscopes. The chamber is fitted with a full width hinged door with elastomer seal. A vacuum gauge and an air admittance valve are provided.
Versatile mounting
The chamber can be mounted horizontally or vertically above the rotary pump. In addition, more than one chamber can be mounted on the pump for increased capacity. Depending on the configuration selected for a multi-chamber installation further pipeline fittings may be required.
Rotary pump
A standard two-stage BOC Edwards RV3 rotary vacuum pump is provided. The pump is of proven design and is quiet running and vibration-free. The pump is fitted with a gas ballast valve to assist in removing water vapor.
The unit is supplied complete with electrical mains cable, and an on/off switch is fitted. |
