The Diffstak 63 diffusion pumps have been designed to meet the specific needs of in-line exhaust machines in the TV tube industry. Diffstak 63 pumps have integral water-cooled baffles (to provide clean pumping) and also incorporate a fluid economizer (to reduce fluid loss). Optionally, we fit an integral quick-cool base to the pump to provide a quick-cooling pump for use on short cycle production lines. These pumps are ideal for in-line exhaust machines, where unvalved pumps are required.

Fluid economizer The economizer minimizes fluid loss from the diffusion pump during the air admit phase of the TV tube production cycle. This increases the service life of the pump.
The economizer can either be an integral part of the Diffstak or can be clamped to the outlet port, depending on the required system configuration.
Quick-cool base The optional quick-cool base is used to remove heat from the pump body and fluid. Select this option for very fast production cycles. The integral quick-cool base reduces the boiler temperature to 120 ºC in 5 minutes. This allows for correct operation of the Diffstak during the air admit phase of the TV tube production cycle and, like the economizer, it minimizes fluid loss from the pump.
Aluminizer machines These machines require a valved pumping system. We recommend that you select pumps from our range of pneumatic operation Diffstak pumps. The Diffstak 100/300P, 160/700P and 250/2000P pumps are all suitable for use with aluminizers, see pages 10-9 - 10-11.
