Overview
BOC Edwards multi-stage pumping systems, backed by over a century of
in-depth applications knowledge and technical experience.

These compact, efficient pumping systems feature a BOC Edwards microvac pump and rugged, proven BOC Edwards 6 in boosters or the EH series with patented hydrokinetic drive. MB series configurations are the BOC Edwards 412J or 612J piston pumps coupled with a model 607 direct drive mechanical booster.

The configuration has the ability to start at atmospheric pressure without the need for a pressure switch, packages are offered as a cost-effective alternative for low to medium range capacity requirement. These combine BOC Edwards piston pumps with a wide range of mechanical booster pumps and accessories to meet your exact process parameters.
Pumping combinations are vertically oriented for a low cost space saving option. Customize your preferred vacuum pumping system by using our new MV series ordering matrix on page 2-44.

1700 SERIES HIGH CAPACITY MECHANICAL BOOSTER PUMP
COMBINATIONS

Overview
Whether you need to increase the capacity of your existing system or achieve peak performance for a new installation; BOC Edwards makes taking advantage of the latest technology easy. These field-proven pumping systems are the workhorse of countless industrial and large chamber applications. Each 1700 series mechanical booster includes a microvac backing pump and a belt driven, horizontal flow, high vacuum superblower. In harsh applications where chemical or particulate contamination is present, process isolation boosters are available as an option. Controls for 1700 series mechanical boosters include a pressure switch, motor starters, fuses and overloads.

Multi-stage vacuum systems from BOC Edwards combine a high capacity dry-lobe booster with a microvac rotary piston pump. These combinations deliver the high capacity needed to achieve faster pump-downs. Most importantly, these systems achieve the task more cost effectively than larger single stage pumps. Depending on the specific application, they can improve blank-off by a factor of ten over large, single stage pumps. Pumping capacities range from 1300 to 7880
ft3min 1.
